Minimally Invasive Monitoring for Brain & Spinal Cord Ischemia
Fiber optic, light-based, flow & oxygenation platform technology for the protection of spinal cord and brain.

Brain and Spinal Cord Monitoring
The prevention and recovery from brain and spinal cord injury is focused upon the maintenance or restoration of blood flow.
The Problem
Current technologies for the monitoring of spinal cord and brain either do not measure blood flow & oxygen delivery directly or do it poorly and are unreliable.
Our Solution
The FLOX (Flow & Oxygenation) platform employs flexible fiber optic probes, placed via minimally invasive approaches, in direct contact with the brain and spinal cord, providing early warning of injury and guiding recovery if needed.

The FLOX Platform
- Minimally Invasive
- Blood Flow Based
- Immediate Alerts
- Anatomically Specific
- Anesthesia and Temperature Insensitive
- Automated
- Pre-, intra-, and post-operative (ICU)

Investigational Device. Limited United States Law to Investigational Use.
How it Works
Application-specific probes are placed via percutaneous or surgical approaches, within the epidural (spinal cord) or subdural space (brain).
The probes and monitor provide real-time feedback on brain blood flow and oxygenation, guiding vascular & neurosurgeons intraoperatively and intensivists in optimizing postoperative treatment.
